@anj@digipres.club Yes. Important caveat: the current "stable" release is incompatible with Python 3.12 and more recent! I already worked on a fix 2 years ago (see https://github.com/KBNLresearch/iromlab/issues/107), but this is largely untested because Windows 11 blocks the installed executables. Details here: https://github.com/KBNLresearch/iromlab/issues/113 Not clear if this is a general Windows 11 thing or the result of some internal security policy.

@anj@digipres.club Meanwhile our operational workflow still runs in an old Windows 10 environment. The imaging/ripping project is almost finished now, and it's unclear when/if there will be an update that fixes these issues (last time I worked on this our IT dept declined to answer my questions about Win 11 behavior, which means development is effectively in a deadlock)

  • @bitsgalore@digipres.club @anj@digipres.club We recently acquired a Nimbie NB21-BR, so I will be looking at installing and testing iromlab in Win11 in a couple of months if you need any help with testing for a new release.
