@abbe98@mastodon.social as everything on Wikipedia (except media files with individual but free licenses) is cc-by-sa and creative commons licenses genarally forbid limits on downloading cc-licensed Content, i wonder if rate limiting anything wikimedia is actually legal?

@Life_is@no-pony.farm it's an interesting question. I would generally guess that rate limits do not constitute a restriction. That being said the Commons rate limits makes it practically impossible any sizable portion of Commons...
