Initially, I was hyper-fixated in Athene noctua, mesmerized by her quite lilithian gaze. Then I became hyper-fixated in Athene cunicularia, also driven by her gaze, which is the same gaze that of A. noctua, but also because she has this quite unique behavior of nesting underground and imitating the sound of rattlesnakes. Then I became hyper-fixated in Bubo bubo, especially when I heard about the "terrifying oehoe", a Bubo bubo who literally attacked dozens of humans, which was amazing to learn about. Then I became hyper-fixated in Bubo ascalaphus, due to her Levantine desert-dwelling nature and her gaze which, despite not being the same as Athene's, also feels quite deep and powerful, like the pharaohess she is. Now it seems like I'm searching for Bubo cinerascens, and it feels like I'm going to hyper-fixate on her, for she has this deep gray plumage and pitch black eyes, an appearance of which reminds me of black mambas. In the end, it seems like I'm going in some kind of odd alphabetical order.
