@anya@shrimp.acute.cat omg how do folks react to a conversation like that? are they pretty understanding, do they tend to misunderstand, does the concept make them uncomfortable or make them treat it badly? I’m super curious about what its experiences are

@kasdeya@cryptid.cafe Usually first we show a couple pictures including visor and they are like "oh that's cool, like a cosplay!" Which then gives us the opportunity to try and explain that this is not really like a fantasy character as much as an attempt at creation pointing towards an ideal self / reflecting on the outside what's on the inside. Usually the point gets across in an abstract way, but i haven't had random people on the train Get It in the way that trans people would Get It. Still i think overall there is some awareness being spread so it is worth it! Also i am weird and think that explaining weird things to strangers and seeing their reactions is fun :neocat_floof:
