@shadychars@mastodon.social I wonder if one of the reasons the interrobang didn’t gain mass adoption could be that there’s a semantic difference between “!?” and “?!”, with the first glyph being the introduction and the last one the primary meaning, and ‽ squashes these two utterances into a generic average that’s equal parts surprise and incredulity, which may be seldom what one’s looking to express.
