"Dearest darling. Sitting in the query trenches. Things are tough. Mud and flies everywhere. Some of the blokes are spitting blood. Lots of tears. Some cheering last night but too far away to tell who. Saw an agent explode through sheer pressure of the number of queries. Almost caught one, but she slipped away. Pummelled by rejections.
