Proposed in 1793, and adopted in 1795, the prefix comes from the Latin mille, meaning one thousand (the Latin plural is milia). wiki/Milli- In Italian it goes mille --> milione. Which is og correct, but doesn’t help the situation. What I hate is that ppl will sometimes fuss if I use “k” prefixes.
