@bud_t@m.ai6yr.org I've never been happy with the cost/value of Heil headseats; they're just so expensive compared to the pro audio gear I've spent a lifetime with. But...
They're solid, and while all the parts are overpriced, you can order what you need and get on the air without fuss, and that has value in a small niche like ham radio. And while I've tried others, I keep using my Heil headset.

@W6KME@mastodon.radio @bud_t@m.ai6yr.org @bgarfoot@kind.social I'm a CW guy, so haven't used the mic, but I have a Koss SB/45 Communications headset that I payed like $30 for. They work pretty well for me. I also have an inexpensive Yamaha headset that's similar. It works about the same, and is in the same price range, I believe.
