You reminded me of one of my favorite lines from Home Improvement when Tim was getting into a Christmas decoration contest with the neighbor across the way and the neighbor responded to Tim putting a searchlight in his front yard: Kid: “Now he’s got spotlights in his yard.” Tim pulls out binoculars Tim: “Those aren’t spotlights! Those are 9,000 watt Xenon SuperTroopers!”

Ackchually you need to remake that meme in illuminance (Lux) and not luminous flux (Lumen). As illuminance is luminous flux per unit area, it is a significantly more accurate representation of the output of a lamp because it considers how focused that light source is. Luminous flux only tells you how much total light output a lamp has, which is meaningless if you have no information of how it is directed.
