@QueerMatters You don't need to put yourself through watching that propaganda with her. Also, she will probably never understand what you are going through, and while it is fair to hope for her to understand, I fear you are setting yourself up for a disappointment because she would be quite remarkable to achieve that understanding. If it isn't too painful, you can try to help her understand, but some people are poor at learning social concepts. A respectful peace might be the best that can be.
