@jake4480@c.im We’re sort of reinventing and re-solving the discoverability problem aren’t we? Upon a time it was hard to find things because the search engine hadn’t been invented yet and we were relying on curated lists and people actively submitting to directories - and now search is enshittified and we’re back to wanting lists! #indieweb #smallweb

@leiawelsh@toot.wales this is all SO true. Yeah, I started back in 1993/1994 too - hand coding HTML websites, which I still like to do here and there. Definitely discoverability. Now we have things like Kagi though, and Ecosia is a great search, and even Firefox is OKAY haha- but Vivaldi and Zen are such great browsers.. see, this is why I need to write a post haha. I've done a small one here and there but I want to do a big one on the small web that's still around and thriving. It's refreshing.
