i think i just saw ai slop subtitles on a show made by a billion dollar company. i actually think subtitles are one of the least bad uses for generative ai (though i still dont like that a company that can absolutely pay humans is using it) but the subtitles are getting the names of the main characters wrong. having a human read the output is literally the bare minimum
