@Temperthrowaway@gulp.cafe Okay, I have educated myself on the current situation and can confirm my boss was not well educated on what could get us sick on the trail. Its way more serious than I thought (34% mortality rate if allowed to progress untreated to its second phase), but unless the research shows otherwise its still most likely spread only by contact with rat droppings. With the low count on a cruise ship so far, I'm still going with my gut feeling of bad pest control and not sudden mutation
