Yeah I don't know where he got those numbers from. I've had it and it really is like a particularly rough flu, but I've never heard of even elderly people needing more than a few off trail days of rest and fluids to bounce back from it.
Obviously anyone with a compromised immune system will have trouble with it but, thats the same for any illness

@Rhew@gulp.cafe oh, I misquoted him. He said 35 to 50 But still... ig maybe this new variant is dangerous? I sincerely doubt it'll be a huge issue, and plus after 2020 we (hypothetically) are more prepared for some kind of outbreak
