@dzwiedziu@mastodon.social i mean polish infrastructure is an *eeeeeh* topic and railway transportation in poland as a whole because it's not that bad and also pretty bad at the same time depending how you look at it high-speed rail is a complete joke, 200km/h max on some sections of LK4 and LK9, with some sections of LK4 (CMK) being upgraded to 250km/h – wow finally, 10 years after we got trains capable of running 250km/h on the other hand, regular speed lines are *mostly* fine, well maintained, etc. level of electrification is really good compared to maaaaany other places, even regional lines are often electrified implementation of ETCS is also slow but we're getting there, or at least trying unlike some *ekhem ekhem Germany ekhem* places

@rail_@bark.lgbt Okay, this overall leaves me somewhat optimistic.

@dzwiedziu@mastodon.social and lets not forget we WANT TO get proper high-speed rail CPK includes a plan of building 300km/h-capable lines with 25kV AC electrification Rail Baltica is supposed to be 270km/h with 25kV AC electrification and connect with the Polish network Polish government still(?) negotiates a possibility of purchasing Talgo, the Spanigh high-speed rolling stock manufacturer. Talgo refused offers from Hungarian Ganz-Mavag and Czech Skoda. Poland purchasing it seems to be really an option. PKP PLK and the Spanish railroads administrator signed an intention letter for cooperation and exchange of technical expertise It *is* happening
