I have a friend. Lives with his aging mother. Employed. Has a roof over his head. A few weeks ago we helped him remove the rear seats from his car because he's decided that it's no longer affordable to actually drive back and forth to work. So he. now sleeps in his car when his shifts are close enough together. Let that sink in. Employed. In a house that's paid off. Now i can't claim to have insight into his finances. But the idea that transportation is so expensive that he chooses to sleep in his car on a regular basis. Is... Insane.
