@whophd@ioc.exchange @rauschma@fosstodon.org @geertaarts@mastodon.green Mmm… good point! You'll probably have a fuller perspective than me on "Follow Packs", but I think I see the problem with popular packs inflating the "general reputation" of the people they contain.
This kinda begs the question: What if packs took on the finer-grained vouching? So adopting a pack of, say, authors would merge positive vouching on writing-related things into any existing vouching we have set. May that at all help nip the inflation problem in the bud?

@miblo@mas.to @rauschma@fosstodon.org @geertaarts@mastodon.green Yeah OK so I adopt a Follow Pack at 50% vouch value? Sure! I’d probably recommend something lower, but we first have to do trials with different levels of “cofactor” and “filter”. Choosing wise defaults for new users is vital for this endeavour.
