This #Caturday is my annual reminder post for holiday plants that might be toxic to your kitties! 🪴 :neocat:
SUPER dangerous, both require immediate calls to poison control and emergency vet visits:
:neocat_0_0: Lilies: the whole plant is toxic: flower, stem, pollen. Even ingesting only a small amount can lead to acute kidney failure.
:neocat_0_0: Yew: also immediately life threatening. There is no safe amount.
Less dangerous, but maybe keep out of where pets can reach them:
:neocat_blush: Holly: upset stomach, mouth damage from the points on the leaves.
:neocat_blush: Poinsettias: upset stomach, mostly.
Every pet's friend Chewy :chewy_logo: has made two quick tables: unsafe plants and their severity, and safe alternatives.

@quintessence Thanks! I didn’t realize boxwood could be dangerous. I often put it in centerpiece arrangements. No more!
