In 2020, "cake" was mentioned on UK TV 10-times more than "climate change" and 79-times more than "biodiversity". This has been portrayed as the media, and people generally, not paying enough attention to the big issues of our time. Perhaps. I looked at English-language books in Google's NGram viewer. Good news! "Climate change" now beats "cake", although it's still nowhere near "war".
