In some moments the world does feel a little nicer. Whereas 10 years ago I was regularly confronted with mean comments out in public (by people of all generations) for having blue hair and being a bit androgynous, today in the store (in pink cargos) I walked past a Gen X lady saying to her neice/granddaughter "oh look at what beautiful pink hair this girl has". 🥰💕 Hate today is so normalized because of how we treat each other on the web that these little nice moments weigh all the much more!
