@rozcakj@mefi.social nice work! I haven’t done it yet. I had my X1C on an IOT VLAN that isolates devices from everything but WAN. Now I’m moving it over to LAN with network rules to restrict it to my slicing machine. Once I’ve got that working I’ll load X1Plus

@rozcakj@mefi.social It would be pretty cool if #X1Plus and #OrcaSlicer collaborated to implement really clean LAN support. I want to: 1) enter a secret on the printer and my slicer boxes… now all communication is authenticated with that key or dropped 2) enter an IP allowlist on the printer… which then prevents incoming and outgoing traffic from any other address.

@PeterBronez@hachyderm.io I really should get an IoT VLAN working - but am not a networking guy and it "feels" complex to me. OTOH - I now want to get a HomeAssistant setup at the office to primarily integrate with the X1C, plus use a VNC plug-in to "see" the screen thanks to X1Plus. Maybe a nice little dashboard with the camera feed as well - and then maybe expose that HA so I get my remote access without using Handy...
