@FantasticalEconomics I'm wondering if the plummeting of interceptions at the border are because they have stopped bothering to intercept. It makes numbers look good, like no one is cross, and provides fodder for ICE to arrest later. As it is projecting their current arrest rate to an annual number gives a number that is far lower than were ever stopped at the border in a year.
