one of my favorite poems in the world and so many fragments i love, but the very first lines with the interplay of the doe lay dead in a field of asters / by the school bus stop / where we waited / off from where we waited: yes: at a distance: making a distance we kept, as we kept her dead run in sight. has stuck with me for the Longest time
