@ni_nad I presently have a 13.5kWh solar net metered setup. It still doesn’t work out since we are net-negative on that system (intentionally). Cannot increase capacity of that system further. My cost analysis was: price of existing hardware (at date of purchase) + energy costs for running that hardware & cooling / workload over one month (April). Just cheaper for me to pay a $20 subscription should I need it.
