@josh@social.joshtriplett.org @sunfish@hachyderm.io if it's a local/internal concern, do we need to? the flexibility of being able to choose the seed, how exactly you embed it, and the PRNG algorithm you use seems nice. you even get to have multiple of them if you want. plus, it means we don't have to do even more standardization work. what's the value of standardizing arbitrary non-secure random numbers in reproducible/replay-able components?
