I stopped drinking for like a month and it still takes almost 40% of a bottle of scotch for me to feel anything at all. How long are you supposed to stop to reset tolerance?

I stop, mostly, during Lent, but never notice much of a difference. Probably terrible for my health but has come in handy before driving some friends home after a wedding reception.

@john_darksoul@ariamispainted.world years. brain poison attacks some of the most durable receptors in your body; those don't get replaced often. and if you've been drinking long enough, you won't be able to feel quite the same as you did early on as your brain adjusts to the different proportion of brain chemicals when you're drunk.
