Then for a long time you had to use what was essentially remdesivir off-label and illegally, because it turns out FIP is a feline coronavirus. Depending on where you are, that may still be the situation, but I know some countries have legalized it for use with cats. When our cat got it, he was really old; most cats get it when they're kittens and in most cats it's asymptomatic. We had to go the black market route at the time. At first it was injections, which was not pleasant, but then we were able to get him pills, which was a lot easier. I believe pills are much more common now than they were, so hopefully you can get those. It is absolutely curable in most cats. The catch is that the medication is expensive. Extremely expensive. It may have become better in the five years since we had to buy it, but my understanding is that even if it's legal, it's still pricey. If your vet can't prescribe drugs, you may have to go black market too. There are Facebook groups to help with that. You'll need to get lab work done frequently as well to keep tabs on the progress of the treatment, and the treatment takes months. And the sooner you start the better. FIP can progress really quickly. That's my general knowledge. Please ask any specifics you might have. I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's terrifying and horrible. But you're not alone.
