Jokes are a means by which people ascertain the acceptability of borderline opinions amongst their social circles. Jokes are how they push the envelope to see how far they can go before their peers push back. This sticker belongs in the same hateful bucket as locker room banter, and the kind of "humour" that was grist for the mill at the working clubs worked by "comedians" like Bernard Manning. It punches down. 2/

    Flatly refusing to accept that placing a sticker on your vehicle apparently gloating over causing death on the roads is funny isn't demonstrating a lack of humour. It's recognising that the roads are not a place for violence, and any hint that death on the roads is something to be glorified is unacceptable and risks encouraging the kind of behaviour that stops vulnerable road users feeling safe sharing public space. 3/
