When you launch Brave for the first time, it will push a lot of services like Brave News, Brave AI, their video call platform etc., all cloud services. Technically, they’re all open source, but I wouldn’t trust them. They have released a separate version, though, which keeps all this things disabled, which is paid on every platform except Linux builds. Still, Brave is a whole lot better than Chrome, but I wouldn’t trust either.
