@mmiasma @mcnado They’re playing to jingoism and genuinely do not care about a few smashed industries as long as they tip off their brokers to sell them out before the crash (to be scooped up at preplanned lows just as with round one of the tariffs - thus concentrating wealth and power ever upward.) These are people who in fact own hotels, but they & everyone else know that the very wealthy will fly in without issue on private jets & receive highly deferential treatment from the administration.
