Zionism, defined as support for an independent democratic Jewish state, has solid majority support amoung Jews in the US and elsewhere.
But then it gets a little complicated.
This because far-right Israeli govt's have broadened the meaning of "zionism" to *include* support for their far-right brand of Israeli governance. So, today "zionism" is considered to include "Netanyahu-ism", too.
As a result many Jews have recast their views on "zionism".
