This is like a background check company asking you, the person they are researching, for information they don't have. I cant tell you how many times (2? 3?) that they call me mid-application process to ask questions they can't find answers for. Hi $kajer_IRL , this is bacground company following up from $company where you are applying, we need a few things for verification.... blah blah blah. I usually tell them go pound rocks since they are calling me 3rd party and it's not my job to research me, but theirs. If they can't find anything, that is their failing. This has never presented any issues getting the job i have been applying for.
