A newly released hacking tool makes it possible to bypass Windows’ BitLocker encryption and gain access to stored data. The proof-of-concept code has been publicly released on GitHub. The anonymous security researcher, Nightmare-Eclipse, who discovered the zero-day vulnerability, also provides detailed technical information on how to exploit this security flaw in Windows’ disk encryption. Furthermore, the hacker claims that it appears to be a deliberate backdoor in Windows.
