I'd rather you didn't force your moral standards upon your users.
Especially not with lazy excuses such as "protecting children" or "just set up your own F-droid repo".
These completely fail to consider that not every user is a child and that what makes F-droid desirable is its status as an independent software distribution, not the technical details of the protocol.
There already exists a mechanism to express moral preference filters for apps: anti-features. Use those instead.

@fdroidorg@floss.social Speaking of morals: This actively diminishes user-agency for no good reason that I can think of. You are, of course, free to run your distribution whichever way you like. Forcing your morals onto us however makes it a kind of distro that does not respect informed choices of its users which I consider to be part of user freedom and which – up until today – I thought to be a specific moral goal of F-droid. I'd rather it stayed that way.
