RE: https://mstdn.social/@VCDeV/116437123207696307 (3/2) If anyone's interested in Weds' entry, it refers to the #DeutschlandTicket, a monthly ticket, (originally 9€, now over 60€) allowing unlimited travel on local transport (incl. regional trains). According to @VCDeV@mstdn.social this ticket is used by 14.5m people and it led to 2.5m tonnes of CO2 savings in 2024. So of course the conservative government don't like it and would rather spend money on subsidising fuel for car drivers.
