@magsol@quinnwitz.house A thousand times this! I get this as a pedestrian. I hate it so much. Part of the time it is people harassing me, but then I get people telling me they saw me walking but couldn’t get my attention. If a car honks at me my first instinct is to flip it off, which I recognize isn’t safe because angering a driver isn’t in my best interest. Ugh. Just thinking about it makes me :blobcatknife:

@magsol@quinnwitz.house This applies if you see a friend walking, too. If they recognise you then, sure smile and wave. But if you are driving, never assume that anyone on foot can see your face through the windscreen (mostly we can't). Horns are alarming. That's what they're for. They're not for greeting people.
