@gerritvanaaken@typo.social I love GNOME. Fedora gives you a good (beginner-friendly) vanilla GNOME configuration.

@frankrausch@typo.social @gerritvanaaken@typo.social I remember Gnome being my choice way back (like 10 years ago) when I tried Linux, it was already a very nice and tasteful UI.

@frankrausch@typo.social I have CashyOS and Gnome installed on a spare Dell Laptop. As long as you install only Gnome-optimized apps it’s all very consistent and nice, with 3 or 4 Gnome Tweaks, of course. But, boy, there are some apps out there! Visually straight from the Windows 3.11 era. Technically they do run alright, but no, thanks! You won’t find such atrocities unter macOS.
