@linguistgoneforeign@mastodon.social gotta say it: it doesn't matter that e-mail is "encrypted". SMTP (protocol used to send e-mails between servers) isn't end-to-end encrypted and companies like Proton and Tuta are doing privacy-washing IMO (in terms of e-mail at least), nothing stops them from logging messages as they come in (before they encrypt them on disk). Just don't use e-mail for anything private (or use client-side encryption like PGP). Otherwise, good job, I've gone through similar journey.
