@chasalin@mastodon.chasalin.nl I don't think anybody needs that explained. nobody exists who fails to understand that tolerating the harmless only vs tolerating both the harmless and the harmful are very obviously distinct and opposing positions with the same degree of stark contrast demonstrated between night and day. no paradox exists because good and evil cannot legitimately be mistaken for one another.

  • @falcennial@mastodon.social if nobody needs it explained, why are there philosophical discussions about it? 🤔 I like both explanations, but the one I posted a bit more. But it all depends on how you define tolerance: is it an absolute position or a social agreement? And that is the philosophical question...
