When I went looking for the most basic source of what we consider to be social justice ideas I found the Book of Amos. Absolutely harsh about people who think that their country is great as their country is oppressing the poor. Harsh as in G-d is going to destroy the whole country because of this harsh. (Amos didn't think that the wealthy were going to be destroyed specifically. He said the disaster was going to be a disaster for everyone.)
