random question for anyone who drives a hybrid car: does it do the same thing conventional automatic transmissions do where it slowly creeps forward if you take your foot off the brake? 'cause that shit drives me up the wall as someone who learned how cars work through racing sims where the cars are all manual and don't fuckin do that.

@gforce917@floofy.tech virtually every road car that lacks a clutch control will do that, as far as I know. (actually I have no direct experience* with more esoteric setups like DCTs, but like. most drivers (in NA at least) are used to ICE automatics, and automakers design around that.) I drove the 2020s spaceship-lookin Prius once and I'm pretty sure it had creep. both BEVs I've driven did as well. I do recall, more than a decade ago, seeing a photo of a Tesla Model S settings page that had an option to disable creep; I dunno if they still have that, or if any other BEVs have that kind of option. even if it bugs you, do you understand how slushboxes produce that effect, at least? * the DCTs in BeamNG.drive don't have creep, but—while the game's simulations are getting ever more sophisticated—I have no clue if this is generally true of real DCTs
