holy shit people weren't kidding the Australia section is even more bonkers than the family stuff
Imagine: You take a study abroad program and are placed in the bizarre weirdo home that despite being hours from Sydney, claims to be on the outskirts of Sydney and that gets mad at you for expressing your opinion (on cheeseburgers) that has weird issues because the Australian Rotary Club thought it would be a good prank????

Okay so he goes to Australia. He's supposed to sign a contract saying he won't come back until his year is up. He won't sign but agrees to do a handshake deal. And basically the weight this handshake deal carries not just for him but seemingly to be accepted by the other guy is a bit... confusing to me? like I get maybe it's a "I gave you my word I would do this, if I let you down I'm losing honor" or something it's more the almost-legally-binding aspect of it (I'm sure it's not ACTUALLY legally binding) Am I overthinking this. Texans please help
