Just got a really favourable review that describes our article as having "moving sincerity" and "highly emotional reflections."
Anyways, this is why I'm making all my grad classes into covert writing workshops. Reviewers are nicer to you when you make them feel something!

(and, you know, there are also more than instrumental reasons for wanting to be expansive and reflective in how your describe your data and data analysis process!)
