Just adding that a big factor in my enjoyment of pole-dancing is the people at the studio I'm attending. It's a very inclusive and non-judgemental place. I've never heard any criticism or hatred from anyone there. If someone is struggling with moves on the pole, instructors only give helpful advice and encouragement. The studio owner is also very supportive of queer people. She and others from the studio often perform at events which also feature various LGBTQ+ people (most noticeably drag performers) and, a few weeks ago, she cancelled Saturday classes at short notice to represent the studio in the Hobart pride march, forgoing some income to do so. #poledance #poledancing #lgbtq #lgbtqia
