Kyiv Type Foundry have digitised six typefaces from historical Kyiv subway station signage. Their new 'Metro Fonts' are free for Ukrainians to use, donation-based for the rest of the world. Donations will be given to those in need.

@matt@oslo.town Is that the Metro stop for the main rail station? (I'm assuming the word means the same in Ukrainian as it does in Russian, weirdly derived from the Vauxhall pleasure garden in 19th-century London). #language #Ukrainian #etymology
