@Casey@theforkiverse.com @kevin@theforkiverse.com @pj@theforkiverse.com Was listening to the podcast today and hearing pj express the wish to develop the forkiverse into a thriving community, it hit me that I am a real, live expert in community building and that I might have something to contribute here. My phd is in ed tech and learning design, and I wrote my dissertation on trauma informed-practices in online learning. Trauma-informed practices are informed by relationships and in a group setting involve connection with community 1/4 #Forkiverse

@Casey@theforkiverse.com @kevin@theforkiverse.com @pj@theforkiverse.com I specifically examined whether creating a safeish online learning community was possible. It is. However, this rarely, if ever, happens arbitrarily. What I learned in my research is that it is possible to create this space with some work. There are ways to design an environment like this intentionally. If you want it to be different then you need to take a different approach to building it. 2/4 #forkiverse
