My daughter has an anxiety disorder and sings terribly, but when she sings we all dance. My son has executive functioning issues but likes to paint, and when he paints we all marvel at the colours. My wife can't plan or cook but her empathy is astounding so when we hurt, she is our solace. Though I am the "breadwinner" I have substance issues. Regardless, I receive hugs and encouragement and appreciation. This is partners. This is family, This is community. This is humanity. Love has no shame.
