By decline I mean insular, small-minded, selfish, violent, authoritarian, expecting everything to just constantly get worse with time rather than improve. I don't want Empire or Colonialism back.

What I want is healthy democracy. I want rid of authoritarians. I want us to move away from fossil fuels and plastics. I want us to tackle the climate crisis instead of pretending it doesn't exist. I want less waste. I want a future that is positive. I want people to have less stress and more time for living. I want everyone to have enough food and not be lacking the basics. I want people to be able to make more art, do stuff in their communities, and grow/learn as people.
