it's important to work lazily, but not lazily like a human, lazily like haskell they ask you to do some bs task? just call it done, more often than not people aren't gonna check whether you did the thing, the thing was inconsequential busywork if they ever check what you did you just tell them: "oh wow the file got corrputed, how could this ever happen?" and then do the task
