Teak Oil is a mixture of Linseed Oil + Tung Oil + Mineral Spirits. If you want to make your own Teak Oil you can mix one part Linseed Oil, one part Polyurethane (Varnish), one part mineral spirits, 1:1:1. To Buy Teak Oil or to Make Teak Oil? Which is more expensive? So far I'm not liking it. it made not much of an effect, but the carpenter did add a gasoline-based tint on top of my water-based Rit Dye, in case this collides. Finishes and tints must be selected appropriately for them to work good together. The suggestion: You don't want a glossy finish for your neck, because it will be unsmooth when playing. But can be semi-gloss.
